God's Grace

The grace of the Lord---undeserved favor.it has been said that if grace were deserved then it isn't grace at all.

In this time of testings and hardships, of learning to trust in the Lord, the Lord is helping me understand what grace is. The availability of grace, and the amount that is available to us. And its sufficiency. And how dependent I am on that grace. And through WHOM that grace came from.

For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.John 1:17

But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me.2 Cor 12:9

For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God's abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ.Romans 5:17

Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.Heb 4:16

The grace of our Lord was poured out on me abundantly, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.1 Tim. 1:14

But by the grace of God I am what I am 1 Cor. 15:10

And God is able to make all grace abound to you 2 Cor 9:8

Thank you for Your grace Lord Jesus! Where would I be without it Lord? In whatever circumstance, YOUR GRACE IS SUFFICIENT FOR ME Lord!
________________

I wrote this in October 2005. During this time the Lord let me undergo discipline and purification in my personal life. The Lord was passing me through the fire to remove the impurities. I had been keeping an offense in my heart and the Lord dealt with it. And boy did the disciplining of the Lord hurt. The Lord was removing the impurities before He could tell me what He wanted me to do. Little did I know that on January 2006, the Lord would allow another trial (I got sick) to humble me, for me to learn to trust in the Lord and rely on His grace even more. I was healed completely by the end of October 2006!

The Stone from the Flowing Stream

thinking about David and what he was doing there at the battlefield...

he was sent by his father Jesse to bring bread and grain to his brothers. The Bible says he would go back and forth from the battlefield to visit his brothers.

for forty days, Goliath would day and night take his stand and defy the armies of the living God.

Goliath had determination, and defied and mocked Israel day and night for forty days!! 40 straight days! But the Israelites did nothing!

But one day, David heard Goliath's threats. Right away he asked "What will be done for the man who kills this Philistine and removes this disgrace from Israel? Who is this uncircumcised Philistine that he should defy the armies of the living God?" And as for the Israelite soldiers "when they saw the man, they all ran from him in great fear."

there was fear in the Israelites, but there was no fear in David, because he knew the battle is the Lord's and victory was sure.

When his brother Eliab burned with anger at David, calling him "conceited" and saying he was only there to watch the battle, that is when David answered," Now what have I done? Is there not a cause?"

like David we should walk by faith, confidently believing in the Lord.
we do not run from the enemy. we hear his defiance of the Lord and say," let no one lose heart on account of this enemy...I will go and fight him." The weapons of our warfare are not carnal. We fight a spiritual battle. And not just our own "personal battle" or a personal "struggle", but a battle for our nation, for souls, for generations. The Lord seeks those who will stand in the gap.. like David we say, is there not a cause?

The victory has been won by the Lord Jesus 2000 years ago. Knowing this, we need to advance the kingdom of God...the kingdom of God is forcefully advancing...and the violent shall take it by force.

The stone that killed Goliath wasn't a heavy stone. Goliath's skull wasn't particularly weak either. David's arm wasn't very big either, he was a boy. But the stone was anointed by the Holy Spirit, David picked it from the middle of a flowing stream, a type of the Living Water, the Lord Himself...And that is how the stone killed Goliath...it was soaked in God.

My Sons' Valentine Cards

My sons were tasked to make Valentine's Day cards in school.

My younger son (he's 9) wrote this in his card for me:

"Dear Mommy,

Thank you, Mommy for taking care of me when I was sick and thank you, Mommy for buying what we need. God bless u.

Your Gift from God,
Brian Poblete"

This card just takes all the fatigue away and encourages and warms my heart so much. :)
